**Job Summary:**
As a Dealership Automobile Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles that come into our service department. You will work with a team of experienced technicians and have the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience and leave with their vehicles in top condition.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and more.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections according to manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding the nature of repairs needed and provide estimates as necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, repair procedures, and industry trends through continuous education and training.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to dealership safety protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to improve shop efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Complete work orders, documenting repairs, and parts used in accordance with dealership policies.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification from an automotive technical program preferred.
- Valid automotive service technician certification (e.g. ASE certification).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive repair, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Ability to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently.
- Proficient with automotive repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
